Connecting your ELD is what turns on live tracking in Numeo One. Once it's linked, Numeo pulls in your trucks and drivers automatically and starts showing real-time truck locations and Hours of Service — no manual entry, no separate app to check.

What you need
Your ELD provider account and its login (or API credentials). Numeo works with Samsara, Motive, AT ELD, and more than a dozen other supported ELDs — including Swift ELD, Level ELD, and TT ELD. If you're not sure which one you're on, it's whatever device and portal your drivers already use for HOS.
Connect your ELD
- From the setup checklist, open the "Connect ELD" card — or go to Settings and find the ELD connection.
- Pick your ELD provider from the list.
- Enter your ELD account credentials to link it.
- Numeo imports your trucks and drivers from the ELD.
That's the connection done. From here, live truck locations and HOS data start flowing in.
Linking your ELD account A short screen recording will be added here.
Assign drivers to trucks
After the import, Numeo can auto-assign drivers to trucks using the vehicle data from your ELD, so you don't have to pair them one by one. Review the matches and fix any that need a hand.
You can always adjust assignments later on the scheduler — see Using the scheduler and dispatch board.
What connecting your ELD turns on
- Live fleet map — track your trucks in real time at your Fleet overview. Locations update every 30 seconds through your connected ELD.
- Live tracking and ETA on every load, with geofence arrival and departure detection. See Live tracking, ETA, and geofences.
- Hours of Service visibility pulled straight from the device.
Good to know
- If your ELD stops reporting a truck's location, Numeo can send an ELD Offline Alert to the driver so it gets fixed fast.
- No ELD on a truck yet? You can still run loads and update status by hand — connecting the ELD just automates the location and status side.
