When you assign a truck that's already busy — or a driver who's off the road — Numeo One stops you before it books. This page covers exactly how overlap confirmation and driver-status blocks work, and how to batch through suggestions when you're clearing a stack of loads.
Overlap confirmation
When you drop a truck onto a load and that truck is already committed in the same window, Numeo surfaces the overlap and asks you to confirm before it books over it. Nothing double-books silently.
From there you have two choices:
- Confirm — you meant to move it, so Numeo books the new assignment over the old window.
- Back out — pick a different truck instead.
This is a confirmation, not a hard block: an overlap is sometimes exactly what you want, so Numeo makes sure you saw it and lets you decide.
Batch-applying smart suggestions
When several loads need trucks at once, Numeo does the first pass for you:
- Smart suggestions recommend which truck fits which load. They load on the ongoing-loads board so you're reacting to a shortlist instead of a blank board.
- Overlap suggestions can be applied in a batch — clear a stack of loads in one move rather than confirming each one by hand.
You still make the final call; the suggestions just get you most of the way there.
Driver-status blocks
Every driver is active, inactive, or terminated, and that status decides whether they can be assigned at all:
- Active — assigns normally.
- Inactive or terminated — blocked, and the block can't be overridden.
Unlike a truck overlap — which you can confirm through — an inactive or terminated driver is a hard stop. A driver who's off the road can't accidentally end up on a load, no matter how you try to assign them.
Power tips
- Setting a driver's status (including a Driver Termination Date) keeps them out of future assignments automatically — you don't have to remember to exclude them. See Driver and truck profiles.
- Overlap and availability checks run inside the same drag-and-drop flow you already use — see Using the scheduler and dispatch board.
