These are the location and dwell alerts that tell you when a truck reaches a stop, how long it sits, and when it pulls out — without you calling for an ETA. They watch the truck against each stop's geofence and message the people you choose.
All of the alerts on this page read live truck location, so they need a connected ELD. If you haven't linked one yet, start with Connect your ELD. Turning alerts on and choosing who gets them is covered in Driver notifications over Telegram.
The three stop alerts
Each stop on a load has a geofence — a 1-mile radius around the pickup or delivery. These three alerts fire as the truck moves through it:
- Nearby Stop Detection — fires the moment the truck first enters the stop's geofence, so you get a heads-up that it's arriving.
- Arrival Detection — fires once the truck has stayed inside the geofence for about 10 minutes. The dwell keeps a drive-by or a red light nearby from counting as an arrival.
- Departure Detection — fires after the truck leaves the geofence, marking the stop done.
There's no threshold to set on these three — they run off the geofence and the arrival dwell.

The dwell alerts
These watch how long a truck sits and warn you when it's too long:
- Idle Time — the truck is stopped longer than your idle threshold (set in minutes).
- Long Loading — loading a stop runs past your configured number of hours.
- Long Unloading — unloading runs past your configured number of hours.
- Detention Alert — a final notice with the total detention time, sent when the truck finally departs a stop after sitting in detention. Use it to back up a detention claim with the broker.
Set it up on a load
- Open a load on the Ongoing Loads board and open its notification settings.
- Turn on the stop alerts you want — Nearby Stop, Arrival, Departure.
- Turn on the dwell alerts and set each threshold (idle in minutes, loading/unloading in hours).

Good to know
