Can't sign in

Fix Numeo Spot sign-in trouble — OAuth-only accounts, mobile-app accounts with no password, and which button to use.

3 min read

Most sign-in trouble comes down to using a different method than the one your account was created with. Here's how to match them up.

Use the method you signed up with

Spot's side-panel sign-in (heading "Login to your account.") takes an email and password, or one of two provider buttons:

  • Continue with Google — for Google or Gmail accounts.
  • Continue with Microsoft — for Outlook accounts.

If you registered through a provider, the email-and-password box won't work for you — use the matching button instead. If you registered with email and password, use the box, not a provider button.

"This account was created via the mobile app"

If you first signed up in the Numeo mobile app, your account may not have a password yet. Spot tells you directly:

This account was created via the mobile app and does not have a password. Use Google or Outlook sign-in below, or click 'Forgot Password?'

Two ways forward:

  1. Use Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft — whichever matches your email.
  2. Or click Forgot Password? to set a password, then sign in with email and password.

Typing a password on a Google or Microsoft account?

An account created through Google or Microsoft doesn't have a password to type. Skip the password box and click the matching Continue with… button.
