Verify a broker with Broker Info

Read FMCSA authority, DOT/MC, payment address, and factoring status on the Broker Info tab.

3 min read

Before you spend a call or an email on a load, check who's behind it. The "Broker Info" tab on any load gathers the broker's authority, identifiers, payment details, and factoring status in one place — so you can vet them in a few seconds.

Open the Broker Info tab

Tap a load, then tap "Broker Info." You'll see the broker's basics and the checks that matter:

  • FMCSA authority"FMCSA Authority Active" or "Inactive." Inactive is a reason to slow down and verify before you book.
  • DOT Number and MC Number — the broker's identifiers, ready to copy or look up.
  • Email and Phone — how to reach them.
  • "Different Payment Address" — flagged when the remit-to address doesn't match the broker on file. That mismatch is a common scam pattern, so treat it as a caution.

Check factoring

Under "Factoring (Payment Verification Provider)", pick your provider — Wex, RTS, Triumph, or Outgo — to run a factoring check. A clean result means your factor is comfortable buying that broker's invoices, a strong "this broker actually pays" signal.

Good to know

  • Signals, not a verdict — Broker Info shows what's true about the broker; you decide whether to book.
  • Fraud risk and reporting live on this same tab. For the risk levels and how to flag a scam, see Check broker safety and report fraud — the article that owns the fraud workflow.
