Right after you sign in, Numeo runs a short setup wizard. It takes a minute and does two things: tells brokers who they're dealing with, and tunes the load board to your equipment and lanes. Do it once and everything after is faster.
Walkthrough: complete onboarding and find your first load 📹 We can record this walkthrough for you — just ask the Numeo team.
Walk through the setup
The wizard moves through a few quick screens. Answer each and tap forward.
- Contact — "Let's get to know you." Enter your name and your MC / DOT Number. Brokers use this to look you up, so it's worth getting right.
- Role — "What is your role?" Pick the one that fits: Driver, Dispatcher, Company Owner, Operations Manager, or Dispatch Service Provider.
- Employment — "What type of driver are you?" Choose Company Driver or Owner Operator.
- Equipment — "Select your equipment." Pick what you haul. This is what drives your recommended loads.
- Find your first load — "Let's find your next load." Tap "Find My First Load" and Numeo runs your first search.
Why the MC/DOT matters
Numeo asks for your MC or DOT so brokers can respond to you. Before you can bid on or email a broker, you'll need your phone and MC/DOT on file. If they're missing, you'll see a prompt: "Add your phone & MC/DOT to search loads" — with the reason underneath, "Brokers need these to respond to your bids."
If you skipped a field during setup, add it later from your profile — no need to start over.
Good to know
- Change any answer anytime. Your role, equipment, and company details all live in your profile, so you can update them as your operation changes.
- Better answers, better loads. The "Recommended" sort on the board is built from what you enter here. A complete profile means fewer irrelevant rows.
