AI Dispatch modes — Manual, Supervised, Autonomous

Choose how far the AI Dispatch agent goes on its own, from answering only to booking loads for you.

3 min read

AI Dispatch has a mode setting that decides how much the agent does before it checks with you. It runs from "only answer what I ask" to "handle it and hand me the booking." You pick the level of trust, and you can change it any time.

The three modes

  • Manual"AI only does what you ask." Numeo searches and answers, but takes no action on its own. Best when you want to review everything before anything happens.
  • Supervised"AI gathers missing load info automatically." It fills the gaps for you — pulling load details and market rate — so each load is decision-ready when it reaches you. You still make the calls.
  • Autonomous"AI handles the entire process, you just book." It searches, negotiates, and works brokers on its own, and brings you loads that are ready.

Turning on Autonomous

Because Autonomous acts without checking each step, Numeo shows a confirmation sheet before you switch it on. It spells out the trade-off plainly: the AI will search, negotiate, and book on its own without asking for approval each time.

Confirm only when you're comfortable with the agent acting on its own. You can dial back to Supervised or Manual whenever you want.

Good to know

  • Start narrow, widen later. Many dispatchers begin in Manual or Supervised to see how the agent works, then move to Autonomous on lanes they trust.
  • You still hold the wheel. Even in Autonomous, the app surfaces what the agent did in its activity trace, and a fraud check runs before any broker email goes out.
