AI Dispatch

Ask Numeo AI to find and book loads

Use the AI Dispatch chat to search, vet, and book loads by typing plain requests — and set how much it does on its own with Manual, Supervised, or Autonomous mode.

5 min read

AI Dispatch is a chat assistant that does the legwork of finding loads for you. Tell it what you're looking for in plain English — it searches the boards, scores the results, and hands you loads you can book. You stay in control: nothing goes out to a broker unless you've set it to, and you always make the final call.

Open AI Dispatch

Tap the Dispatch tab in the bottom bar — it's the one with the glowing Numeo orb. You'll land on "Ask Numeo to book your next load" with a "Send a message" box at the bottom.

If you don't see the Dispatch tab, AI Dispatch may not be turned on for your account yet. It's a paid feature — see the pricing page for what's included.

Ask for loads

Type what you want the way you'd say it out loud. A few examples Numeo suggests to get you going:

  • "Reefer loads near Atlanta, min 900 mi"
  • "Van loads from Chicago to Dallas today"
  • "Flatbed from Houston, min $2.6/mi"

As it works, you'll see what it's doing in real time — "Searching across load boards", "Scoring {count} loads", "Found {count} loads", "Picking your top loads", and "Checking market rate". When it's ready, it drops load cards right into the chat.

Work a load from the chat

Each load card has quick actions so you can act without leaving the conversation:

  • "Book this load" — start the booking.
  • "Bid on this load" — send an offer.
  • "Ask info" — ask the broker a question.
  • Fraud check — see the broker-safety read before you reach out.
  • "See Full Load Details" — open the full load screen with route, map, and Tolls & Fuel.

Cards also show a status chip so you know where each one stands: "Ready to book", "Ready to negotiate", "Engaging", or "Attention needed".

Choose how much Numeo does — Manual, Supervised, Autonomous

The mode setting decides how far the assistant goes before it checks with you. Pick the one that matches how hands-on you want to be:

  • Manual"AI only does what you ask." Numeo searches and answers, but takes no action on its own. Good when you want to review everything.
  • Supervised"AI gathers missing load info automatically." It fills in the gaps for you — pulling details and market rate — so a load is decision-ready when it reaches you.
  • Autonomous"AI handles the entire process, you just book." It searches, negotiates, and works brokers on its own.

When you switch to Autonomous, a confirmation step makes the trade-off clear: the AI will search, negotiate, and book on its own without asking each time. You choose the level of trust — and you can dial it back any time.

Emailing brokers

To let Numeo email a broker for you, connect a mailbox first. If you haven't, you'll see "Connect an email account — You'll need one to send messages to brokers." Once connected, the assistant drafts and sends for you (you'll see "Drafting an email", then "Handing off to the email assistant" and "Emailing the broker"). Every load runs a Fraud check before an email goes out, so you're not reaching out to a bad actor.

See Set up your mailbox and email brokers to connect Gmail or Outlook, or get a free Numeo email.

Want a real person on it?

You can pull in a human when a load gets tricky. Tap "Request Human Dispatcher Support", or mention "@dispatcher" in the chat to "Ask a human dispatcher." Your request waits in a queue ("Your request is waiting in the queue"), and you can "Skip it" if you change your mind. Priority access skips the queue on a higher plan — see pricing.

Daily limits

On the free plan there's a cap on AI messages per day. When you hit it you'll see "You've reached your AI limit" and "Resets tomorrow at 9:00 AM." Upgrading lifts the cap — details on the pricing page.

Good to know

  • History and new chats — start fresh with New Chat, or reopen a past thread from Search History.
  • Feedback helps — on any reply you can tap Good response or Bad response. If something's off, the sheet asks "What could have been better?" so Numeo can improve.
