The email agent runs the broker thread for one specific load. It figures out what the load still needs before you could hand it to a driver, asks the broker for exactly that, and marks the load Ready to Book once there's nothing left to ask. You approve the moves; it does the typing.
This is the agent you're working with once a real load is in play — after search and ranking have surfaced it and you want to run the conversation that gets it bookable.
Email agent vs broker-outreach agent
AI Hub has two broker-facing agents, and they start from different places:
- Email agent — one broker, one load, working an active thread. Best once you have a specific load and want to close the gaps on it.
- Broker-outreach agent — one broker, many loads, starting cold ("do you have anything on this lane?"). See How the broker-outreach agent works.
If you're past "who's got freight?" and into "let's work this load," that's the email agent.

How it works a load
The email agent has one job on each thread: get the load to the point where nothing important is unknown.
- It reads the load and works out what's still missing — pickup or delivery detail, equipment, timing, whatever the load needs before it could be handed off.
- It asks the broker for exactly that — one clear ask at a time, framed as a question.
- When nothing's left to ask, it sets the load to Ready to Book, which lands it in your Ready to Book column. See Reading load statuses.
It won't pad the thread with questions it doesn't need answered, and it won't state a number as a fact — the same negotiation rules apply here. See How negotiation works.
When your approval sits in the path
Whether a draft the email agent writes goes out on its own depends on the tab's AI mode:
- In Manual, the agent's send skips the safety check entirely — you're composing and sending, so there's no extra round-trip per email.
- In Auto-Supervised and Fully Autonomous, each outbound draft runs through the send classifier first, which auto-sends the safe stuff and pauses anything that commits.
After you hit Book It
Once you've pre-authorized a load with Book It, the email agent picks the thread back up when the broker replies — now cleared to use commitment language to close the load without pinging you for a second approval. It still won't re-open or re-pitch the price, and that thread stays on the safety check the whole time, even in Manual.
