Broker and board logins time out — it's normal. When a source turns amber or won't connect, the fix is usually a quick reconnect. Here's how to read the state and get it back.
Read the pill
Every source in the source bar is a pill in one of three states:
- Connected — a blue checkbox. Working.
- Expired — an amber warning. It was connected, but the login timed out.
- Not connected — a plus-circle. Never set up.
The header keeps a count of "{n} disconnected broker(s)" when some have dropped. See reconnect expired sources for the full rundown.
Reconnect an expired source
- When you have disconnected brokers, a "Reconnect" dropdown appears in the source bar, listing each one with how long ago it dropped — "expired Xh/Xd ago".
- Pick the source to reconnect it. It returns to a blue check and its loads flow back in.
If it still won't connect
- Broker accounts connect through the Numeo Chrome extension. If a reconnect fails, make sure the extension is installed and signed in, then try the broker connect flow again.
- Sylectus reconnects through its own login window — re-enter the corporate then user credentials. See connect Sylectus and credential boards.
- DAT has its own requirements — see DAT not working.
Good to know
- Hover any pill to see its action — the tooltip reads Enable, Disable, Connect, or Reconnect.
- If a lane looks light, scan the source bar first: an amber pill returns no loads until you reconnect it.
