Filter by deadhead (DH-O and DH-D)

Cap the empty miles with DH-O and DH-D — the deadhead to your pickup and away from your delivery.

2 min read

Deadhead is the empty miles you drive with no load on the trailer — fuel and hours that don't pay. Load Hub gives you two deadhead filters so results only show loads that keep those empty miles inside your limit.

DH-O — deadhead to origin

DH-O sits next to the Origin field. It caps the deadhead between your origin and the load's pickup — the furthest you'll drive empty to reach the freight.

Set it tight when your truck is already sitting where you want to load. Open it up when you're willing to reposition to catch a better lane.

DH-D — deadhead from destination

DH-D sits next to the Destination field. It caps the empty miles on the back end — how far past the drop you're willing to run before your next load.

Use it when you're planning the reload: a lower DH-D keeps you near freight for the trip home.
