• Is TruckSmarter shutting down?

  No. As of 4 September 2026 the app is live, the load board is free, and nothing on trucksmarter.com announces a change — we checked. If you are asking because you heard something, the useful move is not to panic-switch but to make sure you are not single-sourced: keep a second free board connected so a bad week for one platform is not a bad week for your truck.

• What happens to my loads if a load board shuts down?

  Loads you have already booked are contracts with the broker, not with the board — the board is where you found the freight, not who pays you. Those still stand, and you invoice the broker as normal. What you lose is the pipeline and the history: saved searches, lane preferences, and any record of what you hauled and at what rate. Export or screenshot your rate history before you need it, because that is the part nobody can recover for you.

• What is the best TruckSmarter alternative?

  For a free feed with the same shape, the two closest are the Numeo app and Trucker Path TruckLoads — both free, both carrying six-figure daily load counts. Any load board can change its pricing and we are not going to predict whether this one will. What we will say is what we control: the Numeo app is free to download, free to search, and its AI Dispatch is free and unlimited on every plan including Free — it is not behind a separate subscription.

• Does TruckSmarter search more than one load board?

  Yes — its App Store listing says “See all your load boards in one place: combine accounts — no more app switching.” Numeo Load Hub does the same across 15+ boards and broker portals. The differences are coverage, and where it runs: Load Hub works on the desktop where dispatchers spend the day, alongside the free Numeo Spot extension inside DAT.

• Which app is better rated?

  TruckSmarter sits at 4.9★ and the Numeo app at 4.8★, so on satisfaction they are close. TruckSmarter has more ratings — 10,389 against 625 — which reflects a longer time on the store and a driver-only audience.
