Numeo vs Ditat

Modern TMS for carriers and brokerages, with fuel optimisation as its wedge.

Numeo One (TMS) compared with Ditat (TMS)

Ditat is a TMS for carriers, brokerages and combined asset-based brokerage operations, in production since 2010 with 500+ fleets and 10M+ loads managed. This is TMS against TMS, so Numeo One is on our side. Ditat leans enterprise — SOC 2 Type II, 250+ integrations, native EDI, “scale without replatforming” — and publishes no pricing. Its sharpest differentiator is fuel optimisation built into dispatch, which Numeo One does not match.

Where Ditat is strong — and where Numeo fits

Ditat strengths

  • Fuel optimisation built into dispatch rather than bolted on — triggers on load assignment, uses actual ELD tank levels rather than estimates, optimises partial fills and enforces approved fuel stations via Comdata and EFS
  • Native, in-house EDI and a claimed 250+ integrations including Samsara, Motive and Geotab
  • Driver settlements, plus a separate self-service driver portal for trip history, settlements and deductions
  • SOC 2 Type II, granular permissions, snapshots and backups — genuine enterprise posture
  • AI document processing that scans rate confirmations, extracts data, matches customers by DOT, email or phone and creates shipments; plus rule-based auto-dispatch and auto-detention
  • Long track record: in production since 2010, 500+ fleets, 10M+ loads managed
  • A structured “switch without disruption” migration programme rather than a rip-and-replace

Where Numeo fills the gap

  • No published pricing at all, no plan figures on the site, and no free trial — the only route is a demo request
  • Enterprise-leaning positioning; a small fleet is not the stated buyer and no fleet-size band is published
  • Replacement platform, even with a managed migration
  • No load search across DAT, Truckstop and broker portals, and no browser extension
  • No dispatcher mobile app — dispatchers work from the web platform

Verdict

Ditat is a mature platform and its fuel optimisation is genuinely strong — wired into dispatch, reading real ELD tank levels, enforcing approved stations. Numeo One has AI fuel optimisation too, though on the Enterprise tier rather than throughout. Everywhere else the daily coverage matches: dispatch, invoicing, factoring, driver payroll and statements, IFTA, fleet, safety, claims, a 4.9★ driver app, QuickBooks and ELD integrations, both SOC 2 Type II. The difference is how you buy and what the software does for you. Ditat publishes no pricing at all, offers no trial, and starts with a guided migration. Numeo One publishes $10 to $15 per truck, runs this week, and puts AI agents on rate confirmations, POD matching, invoice disputes and broker email. Unless fuel is the single line item that decides your year, Numeo One gets you further, faster, for a number you can see.

  • They do not publish it. There is no pricing page on ditat.com, no plan figures anywhere on the site and no free trial — the only call to action is a demo request. Numeo One publishes $10/truck/mo on Basic and $15/truck/mo on Pro.

  • Fuel optimisation built into the TMS rather than sitting beside it. It triggers when a load is assigned, reads actual tank levels from the ELD instead of estimating, optimises partial fill-ups and restricts fuelling to approved stations through Comdata and EFS integrations. Numeo One has nothing equivalent.

  • Publishes its price, lets you start without a sales call, and runs AI agents across dispatch admin — rate-confirmation reading, POD-to-rate-con matching and drafting broker email replies. Numeo also has a free Chrome extension and multi-board load search, which are separate products from the TMS and have no Ditat counterpart.

  • Yes — they hold SOC 2 Type II, with granular permissions, IP controls, snapshots and backups, and have been in production since 2010 with 500+ fleets. Numeo is also SOC 2 Type II. Neither should raise a security objection.
