Business Development Representative

About the role

Numeo builds AI agents that help U.S. trucking companies run better. We're expanding into the U.S. market and need someone on the ground in Chicago to generate pipeline — finding the right operators, starting conversations, and getting qualified prospects in front of our sales team. This is a top-of-funnel role. You own outbound prospecting: cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, industry events. You'll work directly with the founders and feed a fast-moving sales pipeline.

What you'll do

  • Source and qualify trucking company owners and fleet operators through outbound outreach
  • Cold call and cold email — high volume, high consistency
  • Book discovery calls and demos for the sales team
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM; keep your pipeline current
  • Attend local industry events and build relationships in the Chicago freight community
  • Share market intelligence directly with the product and founding team

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales role
  • Strong written and spoken English — confident, direct, professional
  • High daily output — you can make 50+ touches a day without burning out
  • Resilient and coachable — you take rejection and feedback in stride
  • Fast learner who can understand a technical product quickly

Nice to have

  • Experience in logistics, freight, or transportation
  • Familiarity with the Chicago trucking or dispatch community
  • Experience with outbound tools (Apollo, Outreach, HubSpot, etc.)
